The company, which specialises in all aspects of architectural entrance façades - shopfronts, windows and doors, security shutters and grilles - has supported Tesco’s expansion of convenience stores across the UK.

 

As Tesco’s nominated supplier since 2004, Weatherite has designed, manufactured and installed new shopfronts and secure shutters at more than 200 of the retailer’s convenience stores in just 24 months.

 

Weatherite has also developed new entrance façades for some of Tesco’s larger superstores. The first, a wind lobby entrance, installed at Newbury, consists of a 120sq metre glass entry at the front of the building, which keeps the store at a consistent temperature and makes it easier for customers to enter and exit the store.

 

Weatherite Shopfront & Shutters, awarded ‘SAFE CONTRACTOR’ Accreditation status, designed to encourage safer working practices on-site, has an impressive manufacturing facility covering over 16,000 sq ft.
